I want to live in the same country as my husband!
Not sure where to start or even how to go about all this but here it goes....
I'm Jess, 25 years old, Australian and 4 years ago while on a working holiday in England I was lucky enough to meet my soul mate, Mark. What started out as a good friendship turned into nothing I ever thought I would be lucky enough to experience. After a year of dating we knew we were meant for each other and got engaged. A year later we were flying back to my home country of Australia and we got married in 2011. Wanting to settle and start a family life in England where we are close with Mark's family (as all mine live hours away here in Australia)we have been met with some huge road blocks! Getting rejected for a partner visa on the grounds that Mark doesn't earn the £18,600 PA required (even though, in North East England, that is an extremely high amount to earn in the first place!)and we do not have double the equivalent or difference, in savings. I was forced to return to Australia in January 2013, alone. Every day is a struggle where I am mentally and emotionally a complete wreck. My mission is to try and save as much as I can to return to England and be with my husband so we can start our own family. Whilst trying to work two jobs we are still finding ways to make ends meet. I saw someone on here asking for help to go to France for school and thought maybe I should give it a shot too... I'll try and fill in the blanks a bit better through the diary section, but at the moment am just getting used to this site. Thank-you if you have taken time to read this. |
